Introducing a new opportunity for parents/caregivers and children to enjoy time together while discovering and focusing on a different theme each week, such as kids in the kitchen, animal themes, art exploration, etc.
Centers will be set up for families to discover and enjoy. Books, songs, crafts, move and groove activities and snack provided.
10:00am—Noon Tuesday & Wednesday at Lakeland
Bring your child for a morning of free play and parent facilitated stations. Lakeland will prepare activities for parents and children to engage in learning and play together. Drop in anytime from 10:00am to Noon. Snack will be served at 11:00am. This program will offer a space for parents and children alike to meet new friends, engage with other families while learning and growing together. 10:30-11 we will offer a Fit Kids Program.
Birchwood School on Thursdays 2:15-3:15pm
Shell Lake Library on Fridays 10:30am-11:15am
Moms, dads, grandparents, daycare providers, aunts, uncles, and even neighbors are invited to bring their preschoolers to this special sharing time of storybooks, crafts, and snacks. This program is geared to preschool age children; however there is no age minimum or maximum.
Relatives as Parents
New meeting days and times! This support group meets the third Thursday of every month from 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM over breakfast at various locations around Spooner. Please call for more details or if you would like to be added to our mailing list.

Exceptional Needs Playgroup
Lakeland is excited to offer a flexible new playgroup for parents/caregivers of children with exceptional needs. This group will have a fun and safe environment for parents and their exceptional children to play and meet new friends—siblings are encouraged to attend too. Support staff from various local agencies will be offering materials on their services once per month during this group. Optional activities and snack will be available.
